2. Definitions

What is LMS?

It is an e-learning or online teaching platform that allows for the creation and management of personalized learning environments.

What is E-learning?

It is a learning tool that enables a company to publish supplementary information such as general interest topics, employee training courses, tutorials, product information, branding, lifestyle, among others.

3. Key Features

  • Online Help: These are tips that assist consultants with informative content to enhance their usability knowledge of various modules.

  • Checklist Guides for Goals, Commissions, etc.: A list of consultant training activities designed to help them achieve their goals and contribute to their ongoing development.

  • E-learning (LMS): This functionality is focused on the training of all company personnel and salespeople, enabling them to enhance their performance and progress in various company processes.

4. Conditions

For the proper utilization of the software functionalities, it is necessary to have previously defined technical and/or business elements such as:

  • Brand Manual: Define the structure, design themes, logo, appropriate brand usage, and typographic styles to include and maintain the company's essence and philosophy in the academy.

  • Content Plan: Define the focus and necessary objectives to be covered in the content.

  • Define Goals and Commissions Program: The company must have a clear and defined plan for how and when sales commissions will be paid.

  • Define Training Content for Personnel: Establish content for salesforce training, including videos, images, text, etc.

6.3.1. Online Help

Online help enables the provision of instructions and clarification regarding the processes to be carried out, addressing user queries, and providing additional information to enhance the user's understanding of the system.

Furthermore, this administrator allows for the creation, modification, and deletion of the configured manual. To create online help, the following prerequisites must be in place:

  • System languages.

The manuals are represented by a question mark icon located at the top of each module. Clicking on this icon will display the manuals created for that specific module.

6.3.2. File Upload

File upload is a functionality that assists companies in uploading information for their clients, salesforce, or specific groups.

In this feature, you can upload files such as:

  • Templates

  • Invoices

  • Customer document information

6.3.3. Activity Log

This functionality determines whether or not it's allowed to view each of the default system audits on the system's timeline for the options shown in the table:

  • Person

  • Network

  • Operator

  • Microsite banner. (If the client has one)

6.3.4. Pending/Checklists

The checklist module allows the user to organize and manage their pending tasks across different modules. This way, the user can keep track of the steps they need to complete in each module and mark those that have already been done.

7. Detailed Scope

The training is designed to enable salespeople to train themselves, engage in self-learning processes, and personal growth, thus becoming self-sufficient in their management.

7.1. Online Help

Online help allows for the provision of information about a specific module's process through instructional guides, clarifying user doubts and providing additional information to deepen the understanding of the module's functionality within the system.

Manuals are represented by a question mark icon located at the top of each module.

These online helps are defined and created by each company based on what they believe to be the most representative and important for their clients' self-management and self-service, thereby reducing cases generated for customer service.

7.2. Checklist Guides for Goals, Commissions, etc.

Providing clear procedures to new consultants in the form of checklists is very beneficial so they can progressively achieve and strengthen their business.

These checklist guides can be configured for consultants to follow until they complete the assigned goals that contribute to their training process.

Checklist guides can be configured in:

  • Initial Steps

  • Within the objectives or goals dashboard

  • On the commissions screen

  • On the events screen

7.3. Knowledge Base

Another way to train the salesforce is through user files, which the personnel can access in their Backoffice. Among the files that the company can upload to the system are:

  • Training videos

  • Brochures or marketing materials for promoting their businesses.

  • Files containing sales tips, negotiation techniques, etc.

7.4. E-learning (Moodle)

The company has the option to offer various forms of training to educate network members through the E-learning platform with access to online courses. Furthermore, the company can monitor the progress of the salesforce as they complete the content.

The content of the E-learning platform, based on Moodle, allows training teams the flexibility to present audiovisual content, documents, images, assessments, etc.

The key aspect of the academy is the content structure that the company can define:

  • Publishing using various formats.

    • Videos

    • Tutorials

  • Creating course dependencies

    • Based on business level or

    • Releasing others only after certain ones are completed.

  • Assigning assessments

  • Earning distinctions for achievements

  • Communication with instructors

  • Conducting assessments

  • Creating discussion forums

  • Hosting webinars

This content is accessible by entering the academy with administrator permissions and accessing one of the existing courses or creating a new one. From there, you can easily edit or add content using the buttons that appear.

Create Course

PATH: Site Administration - Courses - Manage Courses and Categories

In this administrator, courses and categories are created. To create a course, it is essential to do the following:

Click on the "Create Course" button.

You enter the course name, an abbreviation of the course name, and select the category, which for now is "Royal Academy."

It is essential that the description field is filled in the following way, as this allows the lesson names to appear in an accordion format on the Moodle detail screen, and here you basically enter the names of the lessons:

When you are in the description, enter the HTML editor.

Course Reports

Course Activity Reports

A course activity report, which displays the number of views for each activity (and any related blog entries), can be viewed by managers, teachers, and non-editing teachers (and any other user with the capability to view reports/outlines) in Navigation > Courses > My course > Reports > Activity Report.

Individual Activity Reports

If activity reports are enabled for a course in the course settings, each course participant can access reports about their contributions, such as forum posts or assignment submissions, logs, and statistical reports.

Comprehensive Report

The comprehensive report helps instructors view a detailed list of an individual student's recent log and activity in Moodle activities and resources in their course, including detailed contributions to any different types of course activities. The activities and resources are displayed in the same order as they appear on the course homepage. It may resemble a student's portfolio in a specific course.

Grader Report

It collects graded items from various parts of Moodle that are evaluated and allows you to view them and modify them, as well as categorize and calculate totals in various ways. When you add an assessed item in a Moodle course, the gradebook automatically creates space for the grades it will produce and also adds the grades themselves as they are generated, either by the system or by you.

Moodle Navigation

Navigation is established with each course that is created, each one is assigned an ID that must be appended to the following URL: /course/view.php?id=63

Once you have the desired URLs, you need to go to the following path:

At the bottom of the page, there's a field for adding menu options. The syntax is the same for all options:

Moodle and Joomla Integration

Home

The home page is a static page created in SP Page Builder, so the content can be changed frequently as per the client's requirements. To access and edit it, you need to go to the administrator, and the page is named "Home Moodle:"

Course Summary

The default Joomdle screens have poor visibility, so the PHP for the detail page was modified, which can be found at /html/com_joomdle/detail/default.php. Additionally, for this accordion to work, you must have the course description format specified as documented earlier when the course was created.

Course Content

Similar to the overview screen, the PHP was modified to ensure that the courses are displayed as desired by the client. The file can be found at /html/com_joomdle/course/default.php. For the accordion feature, there's a Joomla module that provides the display functionality.

SSO (Single Sign-On)

Currently, the Joomla and Moodle systems can be integrated through a component called Joomdle, which serves as an intermediary to allow Joomla to display the content loaded in Moodle. This tool offers the advantage that course or content display is more dynamic because Joomla is more visually flexible than Moodle.

Thanks to this plugin, every time you log in to Joomla, it directly connects with the user's account in Moodle, providing a seamless Single Sign-On experience.
